Duncan’s unique approach is to make an emotional connection with any audience and he shared top communication tips on how to successfully achieve this.
Duncan talked about understanding what’s in it for the other person and seeing it from their perspective. He developed understanding of ways of presenting, including the importance of breathing, eye contact and engaging the audience by the use of voice and energy.
Duncan explained how to control nerves and give yourself permission to display the whole of your personality. In this way, your audience are most likely to remember you, as opposed to the product or service you are presenting.
Duncan went on to explain that it is you they have come to see and it is your personality, energy and enthusiasm that will ultimately strike a chord and trigger an emotional response within the potential client or customer.
With over thirty years experience in business and personal development, Duncan has worked with many of the region’s private and public sector organisations to help both their leaders, senior managers and staff to communicate more effectively at the highest levels. Those attending also heard about the critical skills required by a Business Mentor and some fantastic support offered FREE to local businesses by SREG Mentors.
